Welcome to The African Heritage Shop! An offshoot of The AHS Project effort that provides passionate art lovers everywhere an opportunity to appreciate the often overlooked yet abundantly rich and diverse worlds of African Art. The African Heritage Shop, The AHS Project a/k/a AHS (collectively, "Tenet Solutions"), strives to leverage this website's features and services to provide our clients with a satisfying and richly rewarding experience when it comes to appreciating African Art. By using this site and its services, you agree, on behalf of yourself and all members of your household and others who use any service under your account, to the following conditions.
Privacy
You use of this site is subject to our privacy policy. Please see our privacy policy further down below this page in Section 2.
License & Access
https://africanheritageshop.com (the “Site”) is designed primarily for U.S-based clientele, Hence most features may required a U.S. based phone number and/or U.S. based postal/zip code. Phone numbers and/or email addresses provided may be used to provide two-factor authentication to access services on this site. As a result, Standard SMS text messaging rates may apply. Please check with your telecom service provider for additional details.
When you use the Site or our services, you agree to use the Site and our services only for purposes that are permitted by these Terms and any applicable law, regulation or generally accepted practices or guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions. In addition, you agree that you are solely responsible for any breach of your obligations under these Terms and for the consequences (including any loss or damage which Tenet Solutions may suffer) of any such breach. As a condition of your use of the Site and our services, you warrant to Tenet Solutions that you will not use the Site or our services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms. Whether on behalf of yourself or on behalf of any third-party, you agree not to:
- Access or attempt to access the Site other than through the interface that is provided by Tenet Solutions, unless you have specifically been permitted to do so in a separate written agreement signed by an authorized representative of Tenet Solutions;
- Access or attempt to access the Site, or any portion thereof, through any automated means, including but not limited to the use of scripts or web crawlers;
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or otherwise interferes with the Site (or the servers and networks which are connected to the Site), or our services;
- “Scrape”, duplicate, reproduce, copy, republish, license, sell, trade or resell the Site for any purpose;
- Divert or attempt to divert Tenet Solutions customers to another website, mobile application, or service;
- Send unsolicited or unauthorized emails on behalf of Tenet Solutions, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services;
- Restrict or inhibit any other person from using the Site or our services;
- Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Site;
- Attempt to do anything, or encourage, assist, or allow any third-party to do anything in violation of these Terms; or
- Use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity in connection with the Site or our services.
Tenet Solutions reserves the right to refuse service, in its sole discretion, at any time, for any lawful reason, without notice. Tenet Solutions reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Site, and any service or material we provide on the Site, in its sole discretion, at any time, for any reason, without notice. TENET SOLUTIONS WILL NOT BE LIABLE IF FOR ANY REASON ALL OR ANY PART OF THE SITE IS UNAVAILABLE AT ANY TIME OR FOR ANY PERIOD. FROM TIME TO TIME, WE MAY RESTRICT ACCESS TO SOME PARTS OF THE SITE, OR THE SITE ENTIRELY, TO USERS, INCLUDING REGISTERED USERS.
Your Account
You may need your own AHS account to use certain AHS features, and you may be required create and be logged in to your account to access site features. You agree you must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on the Site and to use any of the site's functionalities. Tenet Solutions reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, terminate your rights to use The African Heritage Shop, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in its sole discretion.
Risk of Loss
All purchases of physical items from the African Heritage Shop are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the special nature of items we carry, we offer a very limited window for returns under certain conditions. A return for some of our products may be initiated within 3 days of item delivery. Some items we carry cannot be returned once purchased. Hence the listings for such products will indicated as much. Items must be returned in the condition received and associated costs e.g. return shipping charges etc. for returning item will be at buyer's expense. A restocking fee of 15% of the item price applies to all returns. Items returned without authorization in advance will be rejected as will items that have not been properly packaged/wrapped, or items that have been subject to any form of abuse/use. Any other accomodations outside the scope of our return policy is at our discretion.
Product Descriptions
Tenet Solutions attempts to be as accurate as possible with the information we present on the African Heritage Shop. We will make reasonable efforts to accurately display the attributes of the items we sell. All prices and promotions on the site are subject to change. We cannot confirm the availability or price of an item until you place your order. Despite our best efforts, sometimes an item in our catalog may not be available, the offer may have been misstated, or an item may be mispriced. For any of these reasons, we may cancel your order or we may contact you for instructions on the order. If a product offered by the African Heritage Shop itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition. Please see our Returns and Refunds guide above.
Order Confirmation
Our order confirmation to you does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. At any time after receipt of your order, we may accept, decline, or place quantity or other limits on your order for any reason. We may impose these limits on a per-person, per-household, per-order, or any other basis. If we reject, limit, or otherwise modify your order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address you provide to us. If we cancel an order or part of an order that we’ve already charged you for, we’ll refund you the full amount of the canceled portion of the order.
Shipping
While we do offer free shipping on some of our items, this policy is at our discretion. Free shipping does NOT apply to every item we sell. Free shipping when applicable, implies standard/basic USPS postage. There are no guarantees on delivery timelines for items shipped to customers. Free shipping does not apply to returned or replacement items. The cost of returned or replacement items will be covered entirely by the customer. Some custom-made or made-to-order items may required specialized shipping freight of which the customer is responsible for.
Security
To use certain features of our Service, you may be required to create an AHS account and provide us with a username, password, and certain other information about yourself as set forth in the Privacy Policy (see section 2 below).
To improve your experience on our site, we use cookies to provide you with a secure log-in and to remember log-in details, collect statistics to optimize site functionality and deliver content tailored to your interests. See our Privacy Policy (section 2 below) to learn more. Do not leave your web browser unattended while logged in into the site. To protect the privacy of your information - once you log out of the site, we recommend that you close your browser. Until your browser is closed, the browser memory could contain information about your account(s) viewed during the session.
You are solely responsible for the information associated with your account and anything that happens through your account. You must maintain the security of your account and promptly notify AHS if you discover or suspect that someone has accessed your account without your permission. You agree to: (1) use a strong password and secure password, (2) keep your password secure and confidential, (3) not transfer any part of your account and (4) follow the law and any recommendations we may give you from time to time or through the service with respect to account security.
You will not license, sell, or transfer your Account without our prior written approval.
When creating your account or profile, you must provide complete and accurate information, and you must update your information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your profile or account, and you must keep the password for your profile or account secure at all times. You must notify the Site immediately should there be any unauthorized use or breach of security of your profile or account. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company will not be liable for your losses caused by any unauthorized use of your profile and account. However, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you shall be liable for any losses incurred by the Company or others due to any unauthorized use of your account and profile as a result of your wrongdoing, negligence or violation of these Terms of Use.
Dispute Resolution by Binding Individual Arbitration
By using this site, you agree that any dispute involving you and Tenet Solutions or any of its agents must be resolve through individual arbitration.
Termination of Use
We may, in our sole discretion, terminate your account or your use of the African Heritage Shop at any time. You are personally liable for any orders that you place or charges that you incur prior to termination. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or any aspects of the African Heritage Shop at any time without prior notice.

SECTION 2 - PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://africanheritageshop.com.com (the “Site”).
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, timezone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.” We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.” When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
How do we use your Personal Information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to: Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Sharing your Personal Information
We share some information with third parties. For example, we use SQUARE payments to collect payments and detect fraud. We use Textbelt API to support multifactor (SMS) authentication for login into the Site. We also leverage Zoho domain services for client email communications. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Do-Not-Track Browser Requests
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection & use practices when we see a Do-Not-Track signal from your browser.
Data Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Bear in mind, we cannot completely eliminate order details such purchase details, amount paid etc. due to legal and regulation requirements. Also, SQUARE, Textbelt and other third-party subprocessors we use have their own data retention practices and policy that's independent of the Site.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices and/or for other operational, legal compliance or regulatory reasons.
